Floor-to-ceiling walnut library with integrated lighting and ladder rail in a classic pre-war six.
The Challenge
The pre-war walls were out of plumb by nearly two inches across the 14-foot span. Every shelf had to be individually scribed to meet century-old plaster without gaps.
Our Approach
We templated each shelf in place using story sticks, then milled the walnut panels with a 3-degree back-bevel so they sit flush against the irregular walls. LED channel lighting was routed into the crown molding.
